About Me

I am an emerging writer/director living in Los Angeles, CA. Although my primary interest is narrative, I view documentary as a necessary tool for increasing awareness of marginalized communities and preserving history and culture. Often blurring the lines between genres and forms, my style can best be described as creative non-fiction. I received my B.A. in Creative Writing at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA; followed by an M.F.A in Film and Media Arts at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. While at Temple, I earned certificates in Teaching in Higher Education and Entrepreneurship. In addition to developing my own projects, I currently work at DreamWorks Animation and an independent documentary production company, Night Fire Films. When not at work, I can be found at the beach, on the dance floor, reading tarot, or hanging with my cats Didier Saint Luc XIV and Jaguar Puma Jones. E-mail me!
